Expert advice on using the correct shackles, eyebolts and eyenuts

A lift is only as safe as the strength of the lifting hardware. Our experts will happily advise which type of shackle, eyebolt and eyenut best suits your application – ensuring there are no weak points in your lifting system.

Dee and bow shackles

Supplied in a variety of material sizes to offer different safe working loads, Dee shackles are ideal for single point lifting. For multi-point lifting, the bow shackle is preferred. Both have a choice of pins. Screw pins offer quicker operation; safety pins – or nut and bolt pins – are used for permanent or semi-permanent loads.

Eyebolts and eyenuts

Our metric or imperial eyebolts and eyenuts are offered in different sizes. We supply collared or dynamo eyebolts, designed for multi-point lifting and single point lifting respectively. The safe working loads of eyebolts and eyenuts are determined by the mass of the piece’s material and its thread size.
